Apparently There Are Three Different Ways To Spell "Bust"

Da Realist:

Ouch

Their football futures were so bright, their potential so limitless, it would have been hard to imagine that the three college superstars had just peaked. Bush, Young and Leinart were taken Nos. 2, 3 and 10, respectively, in the 2006 NFL draft. But in the three years since, Canton has faded beyond the horizon as expectations have been adjusted downward for the once-dazzling trio.

Waldini:

Yea I read this yesterday too and had the same thoughts. You did hear Vince say this offseason that he wants to start AND he is going to the HOF right :-)? If you saw the preseason game against the hapless Bills on Sun, you would say Vince um maybe you just need to shut up and play....

Gangsta D:

The funny thing is, there's still time for redemption...well maybe not for Leinart.

Waldini:

There's still time even for him. I mean Kurt Warner ain't 28, he's 38 :-) Read more!

Crooked Officer! Crooked Officer!

Waldini:

This has been the talk of Texas today.

A police officer was placed on administrative leave Thursday over a traffic stop involving an NFL player whom he kept in a hospital parking lot and threatened to arrest while his mother-in-law died inside the building.
Gangsta D:

Isn't Frisco where you live?

But yeah, that cop needs a good old-fashioned country ass kicking. He's the reason some people hate cops.

Waldini:

This happened in Plano :-). The good cops of Frisco would nev - wait what am I saying. These mofos in Frisco gave me a ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLAR speeding ticket for going 52 in 45 mph zone.

Yea all these cops can eat a fat one! Read more!

Coming Live And Direct

Waldini:

We're live at the Naval Base in Georgia and we're trying to find the Dallas Cowboys biggest fan, Gangsta D to get his thoughts on all the recent offseason activity. Chris Canty leaving, Keith Brooking coming, TO, Pac-Man, and Roy being released, what is current emotional state? There he is at his desk, mr Gangsta, what are your thoughts?

Gangsta D:

FUCK THE WORLD!!!

But seriously, Chris Canty isn't too big of a deal. Jay Ratliff is a better player, and we still have Tank. Keith Brooking? Meh. Roy was going to get cut, so I'm not sweating it. Jerry should've drafted Ed Reed anyway. TO? After the abomination that was last year, I wouldn't have cared if the whole team got traded. But to just release him and take a $10 million cap hit? After trading draft picks for the other
Roy Williams, how does this help the team? Looks to be another season of disappointment.

Waldini:

Um I wouldn't read this about Tank.

After Owens, Williams likely was the second divisive figure among Cowboys fans — especially after Dallas already got rid of Adam "Pacman" Jones and Tank Johnson.

That offense is still potent. I mean you still got Romo, Witten, the other Roy, Barber. That's a nice quartet to have. Defense, yea there may be some struggles but that O should keep them in the game. Hopefully no more circus with all those cuts

At least you sound more realistic than say K-dawg. I asked him to project the Redskins' record this year, fool says 9-7. I forgot to tell him that neither Haynesworth nor DeAngelo play QB.

Gangsta D:

Oh, well...boy that Jay Ratliff sure is great! lol

The running game is going to carry the squad. Barber, Choice, and a healthy "Cat" Jones. Hopefully Romo squares himself up and becomes more efficient. Although, I wouldn't mind adding Torry Holt. He can still ball. Read more!

Close Encounters

Waldini:

Do ya'll remember Fred Lane, the murdered NFL player? Well his ex-wife is being released . I'm only bringing this up because Deidra is a childhood friend of mine. Her brothers and I used to go to Alex English's bball camp together (side note, one of her brothers also is caught up in some mess). Their Dad is mad cool and it's just weird to see all this stuff happen....Anyway interesting...

The 33-year-old Lane served about six years in prison for voluntary manslaughter in the 2000 death of her estranged husband, Fred Lane. He played with the Carolina Panthers for three years and had been traded to the Indianapolis Colts before his death.

During her trial in 2003, prosecutors described Lane as an abusive woman who killed her husband for insurance money. Defense attorneys described a battered wife who killed in self defense.

Gangsta D:

What?!? Damn, that's deep. I once met one of the dudes that was with Ray Lewis when that cat got stabbed. It's crazy who you meet in life.

Waldini:

Yes man it is. You honestly never what is going to happen in your life and amazing at the people that come in and out of it.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot - Plax Edition

Waldini:

You shoot yourself in the thigh, then tell authorities it happened at a local restaurant like Applebee's. And how do you get rewarded? The state's pressing full charges for unlawful possession and your team suspends you for 4 games. And the NFL hasn't even touched you yet b/c it happened during at a non-NFL site and they are waiting until March. Welcome to Plaxico's world. He's about to find out how hard that drop is....

Gangsta D:

Too bad Johnnie Cochran is no longer with us, cause Plax is gonna need some HELP:) I doubt he serves the entire 3.5 years, but he'll do some time. When the Mayor says your name in anger, the DA has no choice but to bring the pain.

Waldini:

Another sad case of when keeping it real goes wrong. I wonder how Rosenhaus is going to play this one

Gangsta D:

He compared Plax to Sean Taylor-wrong! Lol

Drew isn't gonna have much to say in the interim. He can't play the rest of the year and will be heading to jail some time next year:)

Waldini:

Did he really? That is pretty low by anyone's standards....

The part that gets me is that Plax bitched and moaned his way out of Pittsburgh, where he put up decent not great numbers. Last yr was the first time he puts up great numbers, they win it all and you think he's good. Nope he bitches and moans again about not being paid enough. So the Giants give in and pay the man. How do you reward them? By shooting yourself...Stimpy you Eediot

Gangsta D:

Well, it was an accidental shooting:)

Waldini:

Why do you have the gun in the 1st place :-)?

Gangsta D:

Keep the haters off your nuts:)

Fools Gold? Nah, Not This Time Right?

Waldini:

Matt Cassell is putting up huge numbers in the absence of the league's Golden Boy. Doesn't this remind you of a hmm same situation in Miami back in the 90s. His name was Scott Mitchell, he backed up Dan Marino, Marino tore his ACL achilles, Mitchell took over, put up huge numbers, Mitch became a free agent, and BAM the Lions gave him sic contract. And what did he do when got there? Sucked major MEJOR a$$

Owners be warned.

Gangsta D:

In Scott's defense, he did throw for 4,000 yards one year. But yeah, otherwise he sucked like Vanessa del Rio.

Waldini:

One year...The Ford Family wasted Barry Sanders and Herman Moore's career for one year....and they still got beat in the 1st rd!

Gangsta D:

Scott Mitchell got paid so I can't totally hate on him.

But back to Cassell. I think his performance will reverborate back to CFB. You have a guy that backed up two Heisman QBs, never started a game, and now will be getting paid out of every orifice. College coaches will be using him as an example whenever they encounter a QB that demands playing time. "Hey, look at Cassell. The guy only through maybe 6 passes in college, now he signed a $60 million contract. Shut up and get on the bench!" Or something like that.

Waldini:

LOL. that simple eh. Maybe Jevan Snead shoud've taken that advice before he bounced ;-)

As for Cassell, I mean the guy he's replaced was supposed to be the worst of the two headed Michigan attack. Now's he the one with 3 SB rings and Drew Henson's trying to figure out exactly what went wrong. I shouldn't completely hate on Matt cuz he has been gravy for me in fantasy football. Read more!

"It Was All A Dream..."

Waldini:

It's crazy that just 3 years ago, Matt Leinart was a Heisman winner and Vince Young was a BCS stud. Now these two can't supplant two QBs over 35 as the starting QBs on their teams. What happened?

"We're going to get Vince back, get his knee back, work with him, get him back involved in the offense," Fisher said. "But Kerry's going to go ahead and play for us until either he struggles or whatever else happens. Yeah, you saw by the way he played. In light of everything, it just makes sense to go with him."

Gangsta D:

I think we overstated their NFL potential. Matt Leinert is Ken Dorsey. All he had to do was get the ball to his plethora of weapons. Vince was just the best athlete on the field, and dominated by sheer will. I don't think they're lost causes, just look at Jim Plunkett. But, they better get in the film room and get their shit together or they'll be out in a quick minute.

Waldini:

You just nailed it on the head with the film room comment. And don't let your mom publicly complain to your boss about how you are being treated would help too.

Leinart, I don't get cuz he has Boldin and Fitzgerald. Just make a read. For Vince, he's needs to stop relying on his legs and athleticism and think more. Read more!

The '06 Rose Bowl Was A LONG Time Ago

Waldini:

I know you hate him Gangsta but his article is interesting. As a Titans fan, you know I'm not thrilled. Btwn the reports of him quitting on Sun, to the police going to his house on Mon, to his mama issuing a statement on Wed, it's not good.

I don't agree with everything in Whitlock's paper b/c he generalizing on a few subjects. But overall, makes ya think

Gangsta D:

I don't hate Young Vince. That's just your insecurity as a Titans fan talking. I'll decline to read the article, for obvious reasons. But I'll say this. Maybe the dude just has some stuff going on his head that trumps his job. I think he's a sympathetic figure. Maybe he's incapable of dealing with the pressures of being an NFL QB, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Just because you're 6-5, with a strong arm, and can run doesn't mean you're automatically going to be able to handle what he has to handle. It doesn't make him anything other than human.

But as a QB, he does suck:)

Waldini:

Thanks for the pep talk Coach Cardigan.

It's not my fault, my team is LOADED:) Read more!

Karl Malone. King Of Douche.

Da Realist:

This breaking news may just give roger clemons a pass...

Bell is the son of Malone, but the Mailman had no role in Bell’s success except passing along athletic genes.

The two have had very little contact during Bell’s life. His mother, Gloria Bell, reportedly was only 13 years old and Malone a college sophomore at Louisiana Tech when Demetrius was born. Malone might have served jail time had her family asked the district attorney to file criminal charges.
Gangsta D:

Wow. Karl Malone. 13?!? You went to school in Louisiana! I've been to La. There are PLENTY of dope 20 year old chicks in La. Douchebaggery at it's finest.

Da Realist:

How in the hell do you not put this guy on child support??? He's a MULTI-MILLIONAIRE! Not only that...but for 9 months out of every year, you know exactly where he is going to be! That woman has that much pride?

She might have never had to work a day in her life. 10% of his income is BIG money down in the swamps of louisiana. can't believe that...

Old School Wednesday - Next Question

People hate Drew Rosenhaus. Tony Kornheiser wonders if he has a soul. NFL General Managers have colluded to never name their sons Drew or let their daughters marry anyone named Rosenhaus. But I like him. Maybe it's because he reps so many former 'Canes. Maybe it's because he's so full of shit, it's endearing. Maybe because he always gets it poppin. Or maybe because his clients always get paid. At any rate, I came across this article from '96 on Dr. Drew and had to post it. I had no idea he was getting hated on all the way back then. Dude just rubs people the wrong way. But I'd hire his ass in a minute.

Other agents despise Rosenhaus, and some team executives are loath to do business with him. He has been described as slithering and blindly ambitious. Rosenhaus knows what people say, and he LIKES it. But he urges you to see the good, too. "I'M A LIKABLE GUY!" he bellows.
He's likable until it's time to negotiate. Then, he's ready to cut your heart out with an emery board.

"I am not 100 percent honest with teams," says Rosenhaus
I'm shocked at this information.

"They DESPISE me," he shouts. "They hate me because I'm young and I've broken into this business and KICKED everybody's ASS. I LOVE the fact that my competitors hate my guts."
I fucking love this guy. How can you not? Read more!

Quick On The Trigger

Curious thing happened on the internets today. Both Deadspin and Fanhouse posted a flyer for a "Greygoose Party" to be co-hosted by Pacman Jones and Young Spoaty. The flyer promised that they were going to "make it rain." Oh boy. As you can imagine, the requisite Pac Man jokes and moral indignation were soon to follow. Will came with the jokes:

Far be it from us to tell Pac Man Jones how to live his life, but ... well ... promoting parties in which you promise to "make it rain" seems to be just asking for trouble, doesn't it?

Don't ever change, Pac Man ... don't ... you ... change.

Now, if you'll excuse us, we must clear out our Sunday night and Monday morning.

Michael David Smith hit us off with the moral indignation:

If there's one person on earth who should definitely not allow his name and likeness to be used in association with "making it rain," it's Pacman Jones, the man whose NFL career came to a halt when he was accused of inciting a riot at a strip club by making it rain, i.e., throwing dollar bills in the air to make it look like it's raining money, and then attacking a stripper who dared to actually pick up some of the money.

Many people in and around the NFL think Commissioner Roger Goodell will end Jones' suspension, possibly as soon as within the next month. I'm not so sure. Jones just doesn't seem like he gets it.

When I saw the flyer, I just chuckled. Apparently Mrss. Smith and Leitch were unaware that in the hip hop world, celebrities and athletes are often used for promoting parties without the celebrities' approval. These sort of machinations happen alot. Hell, I did it when I was in college. Anyway, I left a comment on FanHouse describing that, and also suggested that Smith delve deeper to see if Pacman was in fact associated with the promotional company. Well what do you know? Pacman isn't having a party after all.

But when I called the phone number listed on the poster, I was told that Jones is not, in fact, going to be a part of this party. "The party's still going on, but Pacman's party's been canceled," the man who answered the phone told me.

The party is going on, but "Pacman's party" has been canceled? Or? Pacman was never going to be there and we used his name along with "We gon make it rain" in order to drive up interest in the festivities. Well, mission accomplished.

I wonder how easy it would have been to call the number BEFORE writing the initial post? Maybe the naivete of not knowing how celebrities are used to promote parties was a factor in not checking deeper into the story. Or maybe they figured the flyer was an opportunity to make fun of/castigate an easy target, and decided to run with it five seconds after seeing it. I think I'm gonna go with the latter on this one. Email Of The Day

Our boy K-Dawg just hit us off with one of the funniest emails I've read in a long time. I could just imagine how this would be covered by ESPN.

I must say, I won't talk badly about Eli anymore till he retires. After what I witnessed in these playoffs from him..... I'm a believer now. Not bad for a Manning. Archie's loins should be on ice somewhere for future quarterbacks. In fact, Shenequa Ieasha Jenkins-Jones-Smith should kidnap Archie, force him to make out and have a boy name Oshea Jenkins-Jones-Smith Manning or Thomas Jenkins-Jones-Smith-Manning or something like that. Then the headlines would be "Archie had a black baby!!!!!! He looks like Terrance Howard and throw like Peyton." He would do commercials for the United Way and JJ Rib Shack. He would do the Gridiron Talk commercial from Morris Brown University and have the band playing in the background (do they still have the band?). He would start the advice with, " So you are thinking about buying a minivan...... well... what if you put D's on that bitch....it would pass the ghetto creed in the SWATS." Then instead of saying "Cut that meat!!!!" He would say, "MY DADDY LIKE DARK MEAT!!!"

Yep, these are my friends. Read more!

Of Heations and Cowboys

Waldini:

I know the Heat are bad but damn I didn't think a team with Flash and Diesel would be 20 games under .500. I actually watched 5-10 mins of their last 2 nationally televised games and I was appalled at how empty the seats were. And these are games featuring marketable teams (Bulls, Cavs). Have the Heat really sunk this far? I know they are pinning hopes on the lottery now but I don't see anyone in college that can make an immediate impact to save this sinking ship. Flash is gone in '09. Mark
my words.....

Da Realist:

Shaq 4 titles
Kobe 3

That's the basis of all these heat emails.

Waldini:

The basis is that I hate seeing cities act like bandwagon fans which shit don't go right. This team just won a title 2 years ago and this is what they get in support. It's why I got annoyed in Houston when the Astros made it to the World Series.

The Cowboys may have down years but the fans still come out and support.

Da Realist:

Speaking of cowboys. I heard an interesting debate last yesterday. Do you think it's possible that this year's patriots are better than the 1995 barry switzer cowboys?

Waldini:

For the sake of giving Gangsta a heart attack this morning, I say yes.

Gangsta D:

They're better than the '95 Cowboys. But I don't know about the '92 Cowboys. If Deion played on the '92 squad, there would be no question. People forget how lethal that defense was. Ask Jim Kelly and the high flying Bills how good they were. But don't get me started.... Read more!

What The Damn?

Waldini:

Gangsta, the loss isn't even a week old and I see your team getting pillaged. Sparano in Miami? Garrett in B'more?? WTH is going on in Dallas? and Jerry's gonna stick with Wade?!!?!

Gangsta D:

I'm not in mourning over Sparano, even though the O-line played well this year (brain fart false starts in the playoff game notwithstanding). I would be more concerned over Garrett leaving.

1.) We'd have to find a new coordinator and who's available? Maybe Norm Chow. But he'd
install a new system and we were humming last year.

2.) I wanna see Garrett succeed and he's not ready to be a head coach yet. He gets away from the run a little too much in the 2nd half of games, and in the last two months or so of the season, we weren't making the 2nd half adjustments like we were making in the beginning. He needs, at least, another year of seasoning.

Wade didn't do anything to cost him his job. If Fasano catches that ball, if Romo doesn't overthrow TO, if Crayton catches that ball, we win. Preperation wasn't a problem. NY didn't
kill us, they just didn't kill themselves. We'll be fine. We just need a speedback and a reliable #3 WR and it's off to the races next year. Read more!

Tom F. Brady...Please Say The Brady

Gangsta D:

Randy Moss is from West Virginia, played in the Metrodome, and played for the Raiders.

Donte Stallworth is from Cali, played at UT, and played in the Super Dome before joining the Eagles last year.

Wes Welker is from Oklahoma, played at Texas Tech, and played for the Dolphins.

The Pats have shown an unwillingness to run the ball.

Could this spell trouble for them if they have to play in a snow game? Think back to what the Pats did to the Colts in '03 in the snow. Could Brady be praying for global warming? Lol

Waldini:

hehe, possibly. I know one thing, don't run your mouth until AFTER the game :-)

Da Realist:

The hate is strong, but this ain't a bad point to make. If it had been the nba, I would have made it weeks ago. ;-)

The Pats aren't unbeatable. The only question is, who is gonna take it to them. Colts? In New England? Well, it's hard to beat a team twice in one season, the Colts can run the ball, the monkey is off their back, they ARE the defending champs and the pressure will be squarely on the pats to cap off an undefeated season.

That, more than the Superbowl (sorry cowboys), is worth ordering some chicago deep dish and kicking your feet up.

Gangsta D:

I don't know. Maybe Pats-Colts II will be the better game. But Pats-Cowboys II would be the most hyped sporting event of the last 20 years, especially if the Pats are 18-0 coming in and the 'Boys are 17-1. Goodell will do everything in his power to make that happen.

Da Realist:

Warm weather Superbowl. Once the Pats get to that point, it's over.

A Li'l Bit Of Everything

Gangsta D:

Boy, somebody on the Pats must be in league with the Dark Lord cause that game should've been over twice. Even though I'm no Rave die-hard, that loss was gut wrenching. They get stopped on 4th down, but Rex Ryan calls a timeout. Then they get stopped again, but the right guard false starts? That benefited the Pats, cause now they can go back into their spread offense. Then Bart Scott goes absolutely APESH*T after the TD. If he keeps his cool, the Raven probably get the ball back at the 35, at the minimum. Either Yamon Figures is gonna have a good return, or the Pats are gonna kick it away from him. Crazy game. Crazy game. God, I hope SOMEBODY beats the Pats. I don't care if they win the Super Bowl, I just don't want them to go undefeated:)

Waldini:

The zebras must have not gotten enough moolah from Shula and the remaining '72 Dolphins cuz they definitely blew this game. Besides the B'more meltdown, they also screwed up the Gaffney catch (that 'bama was juggling the ball like a circus performer). 4 games left and I only think one of those teams (Pitt) has a legit shot at beating NE. And they get that game at home, lol.

I can't hate completely too much since I got Brady as my Fantasy QB :-).

Gangsta D:

You know Ed, Ray, and Willis were hurting in the locker room. You know Ray cussed Billick out and probably Rex Ryan too:)

If the Pats don't lose in the regular season, hopefully we'll get a shot at them in the Super Bowl. Imagine an undefeated Patriot team going against a one loss Cowboys team. If we win, you know Romo's gonna bust out the threesome with Carrie Underwood and Jessica Simpson:)

Da Realist:

I hope your hatred doesn't extend to all things Boston because if they get Johan Santana you can wrap it up for the next five years. Beckett and Santana is LETHAL

Gangsta D:

I will spit on a Boston cream pie. SPIT!!! lol

Da Realist:

i don't see how baseball stays in business. only a small percentage of teams have a shot to win every year. nobody wants nfl parity (this year notwithstanding, lol...) but damn.

how do fans of minnesota or kansas city continue to support their teams knowing that

a) They have no real shot at the title and

b) Your best player will eventually play for the yankees or red sox.

People can talk about college football all they want, but there's nothing about baseball that's fair. nothing.

Gangsta D:

I don't think anyone in Kansas City does support the Royals:)

It's amazing how Boston has turned into New York. They used to be the ultimate underdogs. The lovable losers. Now people hop on the bandwagon and conversely hate them just like the Yankees. They no longer have the moral high ground to call New York the Evil Empire:)

Da Realist:

I'm not hating but I do find it interesting how baseball operates. Each team can negotiate their own television deals and keep the money. So big market teams like the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers or Cubs can generate many times the revenue that the royals or padres can. Many many times. There is no revenue sharing so the rich get richer.

Small market teams rely on their farm system. Players gradually matriculate under their system until they are ready for the big-time. once some of these players become stars, these same clubs can't afford to keep them. Then the Yankees (or red sox) come in. So in effect, the Yankees treat the whole league as a farm system!

Lost in all of this are the owners. Most of them care little about actually winning. The culture in MLB is different than in the nba. Most NBA owners want to win...and besides, it's more profitable for them to win. This isn't the case in mlb. It's actually more profitable to stay average or lose than it is to win. The only way it is more profitable to win is if you are the yankees or the Braves, you have your own cable channel, you can afford to overpay for the top stars and still stay in the black.

The Chicago Cubs have been raking in money for years off losing teams. The reasons? sell outs, WGN and greedy owners that don't care about winning as much as they care about turning a profit.

1) So you have a league that doesn't reward competitive balance.

2) The owners notice this and concern themselves with the money by keeping teams average long enough to give fans hope (and rake in more money from paraphanelia, game tickets and concessions).

3) Players notice THIS and play for the money. That's why once-in-a-lifetime players like ARod, Greg Maddux and Pedro martinez have all played for multiple teams.

And yet people want to talk about the BCS every year

Gangsta D:

The BCS is flawed, but it is better than the previous system. But it IS flawed. Some years, there will be no-doubt-about it matchups. Some years, there will be what we have this year. No one can tell me that tOSU and LSU are head and shoulders above UGA, 'SC, VT, and OU. You just can't tell me that is the case. But there really is no use in begging for a playoff. It will never happen unless schools threaten to secede from the NCAA and start another "league," if you will. That ain't EVER gonna happen. So we'll just have to live with it, and gripe when necessary. Death, taxes, and the BCS.

Waldini:

According to the guy sitting next to me (an Buckeye alum), if it wasn't for the preseason ranking, that OSU's QB and RB would have been considered in the Heisman race. I literally choked on my M&M peanut when he said that. Read more!

Weekend Wrap Up

Waldini:

Usually I talk about other teams but this week it's about who Waldini watches :-)

CFB - My Vols control their own destiny in the East. Yea Gawga is ranked higher but we own the tiebreaker thanks to the ass whuppin we gave them in Oct. Of course I expect Fulmer to choke to either UK or Vandy. Even if they beat them, they will get served in the SEC championship by LSU. But if they get there, it's back to a NY's day bowl and I can't complain for that.

NFL - Damn Titans not only did you lose, you looked ugly in losing. Lendale goes down with an injury, already adding to a thin RB base. I need Vince to start improving soon. We're tied with Jax for 2nd in the AFC South. The Colts took an L but in a tight AFC chase, we need all the gimmes we can get. Don't mess up next week with Denver

CBB - The season started and Hoya Paranoia is back underway. The game was closer than the score indicated but bottomline, the Hoyas beat William & Mary. Dajuan looked a lil tentative in his new role and the only main contributions came from Hibbert, Sapp, and Wallace but the season is young. They are loaded and go a legit 10 deep. I'm hoping they can capitalize on last season's success. C'mon playas, ya'll doing this for family bragging rights

NBA - 3-2?? I say if the Lakers are either .500 or 1 game under .500 after their initial 10 games, they might have a chance to make some noise. They got the brutal Texas two step this week at Hou, then at SA. I'd be surprised if they won either. Thankfully less talk has been made on Kobe wanting out and the players are starting to come around.

Just my thoughts....:-)

Da Realist:

CFB -- it's really about LSU and Oregon now. upsets have crippled the intrigue of the bowl season (not that i'm complaining). i want them to win out so we can see who the real number 1 is. although if kansas beats OU and finishes undefeated...uh oh.

NFL -- damn the titans. if the patriots win it all, is brady legend greater than joe montana's?

NBA -- the nba doesn't matter until january at least. now is the time for marginal teams (like your lakers) to post wins over good teams in the hopes that it will give the team some confidence. the lakers have a better shot beating SA on the road now than they would in april, for instance. they have a shot against SA and i absolutely expect them to beat houston. the rockets aren't that good.

Waldini:

You know I wasnt buying it when they said Brady was on the same level with Montana when he won his 3rd SB. But if he continues at the rate he's playing, I would have to at least consider it. I thought in two of the SBs, he had no business being named MVP (Vinateri should have won) but that's life. It's one thing to win with marginal or good WRs. It's another to take advantage of an elite WR, which he is doing. You know I could stomach Brady's legend discussion status more than Favre's :)

Da Realist:

Montana threw to the GOAT all those years in SF. He always had a decent running attack (roger craig) and he played behind probably the most creative offensive mind in football history. i don't know...
this is brady's first year playing with an elite WR and he's ripping through the league. i don't know... Read more!
