Waldini:

Because everyone still has the Rose Bowl performance fresh in their minds. But folks forget the Big 12 was weak consisting of one elite team(Oklahoma), one good team (Texas) and a bunch of nobodies.

And Young has been hyped hard since he played high school ball here in Houston. I agree with you, I think Mack Brown hasnt developed Young enough. Yea he can run but force him to pass and he has a problem picking up schemes. I did see a couple of his high school games on TV....the kidhas an arm but so far he hasnt shown consistency with his accuracy.

Da Realist:

i meant to ask you this a while ago. college football is religion pretty much anywhere in the south, but i heard the passion for high school/college football is OFF DA CHAIN in texas. what's it like down there?

Waldini:

Let's just say I had no idea grown men followed high school football likethe folks do in Texas. It's unbelievably a big deal and if a team is really good, they showcase them on TV.

Da Realist:

so is high school football bigger than college and the pros?

Waldini:

Naw, I dont think any is bigger than the other. The people here just love football.

Da Realist:

this would be interesting...get the best college-bound players from texas and have them play the best college-bound players from florida. i don't like exibition games, but i'd love to see this every year.

Waldini:

Just dont let Mack Brown coach :-)
