The Official Heisman Ballot

Gangsta D:

1. Chase Daniel - Great stats (3,900 yds/36 Total TDs) and has his team on the precipice of the Nat'l title. Big 12 is very good at the top, but mediocre after the top four. Signature moment: Beating #2 Kansas.

2. Darren McFadden - Humanity Advanced. Best player in the country. Stats are not eye popping due to sharing of backfield. Signature moment: Single handedly beating LSU.

3. Tim Tebow - Put up best stats in the best conference. System QB without a Big Win. Signature moment: None.

What sayeth the congregation?

Waldini:

I put McFadden first, Tebow 2nd, Daniel 3rd. McFadden broke the SEC rushing record against South Carolina and ended LSU's title dreams. And he's doing this with another future first round pick (Felix Jones) backing him up. And doing this with a mediocre passing game. I can't stand Tebow but his numbers are playstation like. Daniel can prove me wrong but I dont think he puts up the same kinda of numbers in the SEC.

Pat White or Steve Slaton dont get any love?

Gangsta D:

Slaton and White don't have the stats. If Chase didn't have great stats, I wouldn't have him #1.

Da Realist:

Darren McFadden

Chase Daniel

Tim Tebow

But I have a feeling Tim Tebow is going to win. A system QB if i ever saw one. Read more!

Fear Of A Gator Planet

Da Realist:

No offense, D, but this is the first time in 8 years i've felt the gators were the best team on our schedule. this will be my first time seeing the gators from start to finish. (Waldini), tell your boys
not to disappoint me.

Gangsta D:

Tebow can blow me...not literally of course.

Da Realist:

i'm showing my hand a little bit, but UT hasn't looked good at all. in fact, NONE of our teams have looked good this season. i'll watch, but i don't think the gators will get tested until the lsu game in early oct. look at their schedule. UT is down. UGA is down. FSU is down. Auburn is down. Damn. if we're not careful, we could be looking at UF in the sugar bowl this year. this CANNOT happen.

Gangsta D:

I don't think UGA is necessarily down. I think the 'Cocks have a better defense than we thought. They can beat UF. FSU can beat them. Until Tebow responds to pressure, I refuse to annoint him. When he can sit in the pocket all day and throw 50 yard bombs, he's brilliant. But how will he react with 3-4 dudes in his face? Will he sit in the pocket and make the defense pay, or will he run? He's fast, but he's not Mike vick fast. He's big, but he's not used to getting hit 4-5 times a drive.
Waldini:

Well we find out on Sat who's for real right. I mean hell they debating Gatorade btw both schools. I need something positive after Cal got the redemption opening week. But the odds arent looking too good? Florida averaging like 100pts a game, Tebow (gag) looking like the truth, Tenn's d looking quite suspect, etc....But that's why they play the game. I just want to shut up Ty, AY, Jenna, Toya, Shveta, and the rest of the Gator crew for a change

The SEC looks down as a whole. Sans LSU who else has looked like they got it? Ga - Nope, SC - Nope, Auburn - Hell no, the list grows and grows. Read more!

Weekly Tebow Hate

Weekly Tebow Hate has been on hiatus the past two weeks, as I've been trying to build up the necessary animus towards Jehova. I didn't want to shoot my wad before the season started, so I took a few weeks off to let my hate fester. But that's going to change due to the arrival of football this weekend. Come next week, the Tebow hate will be flowing like the River Styx. This week, I'll just throw an incredibly juvenile insult his way.

Tim Tebow is ugly and his mother dresses him funny.

I was going to say that T Squared was an Ewok, but the Ewoks defeated the Empire. So, you know, they've actually accomplished something. Read more!

Weekly Tebow Hate

From Ryan Ferguson at FanHouse:

Tim Tebow was selected (by me) as FanHouse's #2 SEC QB, which to be fair is giving Tebow a ton of credit without a start to his name. I can honestly say that based on what I've seen, I think Tebow will be a better overall quarterback than Chris Leak. He's already proven he's a better runner. I believe at the end of the day he'll be a better passer, too. And I think he will make 1st or 2nd-team All-SEC honors by the time the next coaches vote rolls around.
Very interesting. Ryan is sure that Tim Tebow, he of the zero starts, will eventually be:

Better than the Chris Leak who almost beat Miami, in Miami, as a true fresman.

Better than the Chris Leak who threw 88 TDs.

Better than the Chris Leak who threw for 11,213 yards.

Better than the Chris Leak who won 75% of his starts.

Better than the Chris Leak who led his team to a National Championship.

Apparently, you can tell a LOT from spring practice. Mr. Ferguson either has one Hell of an eye for talent, or a crystal ball out of this world. I wonder if he can predict which numbers will hit tomorrow? Ryan you need to holla at me, because I'm trying to get the 60-inch DLP. I could use your expert expertise before I go see Geechy Dan tonight.

Weekly Tebow Hate

From (Jehova) Tebow's Wikipedia entry:

In his first season with the Gators, Tebow became an integral part of Urban Meyer's offense as backup to starter Chris Leak as well as a key player in certain situations, providing a hard-to-defend "dual threat" as both a runner and a passer.
Hmm. I'm thinking that should read "a hard-to-defend "dual threat" as both a runner who runs to the left and a runner who runs to the right."

For some reason I don't think there were any DC's that said "Oh shit, he ran! We totally didn't prepare for that. Oh well, what can you do? It's always a 50/50 proposition." I'm sure those 33 pass attempts last season, really kept the defensive minds of the SEC up at night.

Weekly Tebow Hate

According to EDSBS, College Football is only 39 days away. After a summer of Kobe protestations, Lucifer Vick, and crooked basketball refs, college ball can't get here fast enough. And I can think of no better way to celebrate it's imminent arrival, than to generate some good old-fashioned hate.

The object of my scorn and derision? Tim (Jehova) Tebow, of course. According to some media personnel, Mr. Tebow is the #2 QB in the SEC. Ask a Gator fan and he'll have you believe Timmy threw for 4,000 yds, ran for 2,000 yds, scored 30 TDs, and had 3 picks last year. Ummm...not really. He has shown a proclivity to run right and throw really ugly jump passes, though. So he's got that going for him.

Now for full disclosure, I'm a Miami and Georgia fan, so I'm predisposed to disliking all things Gator. But, I've never claimed to be objective when it comes to college football. Fans predicting "Tebow for Heisman" aren't rational, so why the Hell should I be?

So in honor of the Second Coming, we'll be hitting you off with some weekly Tebow hate. Don't expect long in depth posts until the season starts. Until then, the weekly hate will consist of short statements proclaiming Tebow as the douchebag he is. Hope you enjoy. Unless you're a Gator, which means you'll probably hate. That's OK, I've been hated on by a higher class of people than Gator fans. Read more!
