Cody Paul II - The Sequel

Commenter Casey S put this statement from Cody's coach in the comment section of the previous post. It sheds some light on young Cody, so I figured it was a good idea to give it it's own post.

Cody is NOT 8 years old, he is 13 years old. The film fottage you’re watching is from our season last year (when he was 12years). They are of our first Regional game agaiinst Valencia Park (San Diego, CA); and our 2 Pop Warner Superbowl games vs Holliston Panthers (Red and white) and the San Marin Colts (Green and Yellow). We won all three of those games to go 15-0 and become the 2006 Pop Warner National Champions D-2 PEE WEE level (Warner Bracket).

The coaching he received and the players surrounding him were just as great. The prior 2 years, Cody played for another team, along with #20 that first year, and they amassed only 2 touchdowns in those years. The offensive line in front of him were outsized all year, and yet they were able to open up holes that a Mac-truck could go thru untouched. They were, and are, ALL awesome.

In closing please, know that Cody was a part of a GREAT team that did amazing things (last year was our second trip to Florida (back to Back) to coompete for the national Championship). All the players and their families made the coaching experience beyond phenominal. I am pleased, to know and have worked with them all. I do sincerely hope that this serves to clear up any misconceptions about Cody and the rest of 2006 Los Alamitos PEE WEE GRIFFINS!

SIncerely,

Christopher Austin

The funny thing is, I pulled 8 years out of my ass. I had no idea how old the kid was. I was just trying to be funny. I didn't realize questions about his age would turn "controversial." At any rate, I respect what the coach had to say. The entire team does look like a well oiled machine. But honestly, I don't care. I don't even care how old the kid actually is. As far as I'm concerned, Cody Paul is still the motherfucking TRUTH:)

if a person knows footbal they will know in this case the young cody is good but look at the how well the traps are formed, the guards and takles pull very good for there ages. not taking anything away from this future great(Gods Willing) but this is good coaching with good team play-remember 11 is the number to make 1 great run for victory...Cody+team+coaching=Good

Why do you people keep talking like you're football experts? The coach, the traps, the pulling...... That's great but this kid has intangible's that you CAN NOT TEACH. End of discussion.

I AGREE CODY PAUL HAS MORE TALLENT THAN ANY YOUNG PLAYER OUT THERE!!THE WAY HE RUNS ,HIS PERSONEL MOVES ,HIS INSIGHT ON WHAT IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN NEXT-YOU CAN TELL BY THE WAY HE SWAPS THE BALL AROUND.CODY FORSEEZZ WHAT THE DEFENCE IS FORMING. I AM FROM SOUTH GA. AND I HAVE SEEN TALLENT ,THIS KID IS GREATNESS IN THE MAKING. I ALSO AGREE HIS TEAM EXECUTES THE PLAYS ,BUT THIS KID STANDS OUT ABOVE ALL THE REST. I WISH HIM THE BEST OF LUCK AGAINST INJURYS ,BECAUSE THIS KID IS PRO.. BOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Coaching doesn't teach what this kid has, it helps develop it but this is natural talent. I played againt Donavon McNabb in highschool as a freshman, sophomore, and once again as a senior. Hands down this kid has more raw talent than a pro bowl quarter back known for running. At age 14 McNabb was not moving like this kid!! He was good but this kid is ridiculously talented, no comparison!

First of all, this kid is the real thing
The coach came out trying to say that the team was there and helped carry him through.
Well, inncorrect, this kid has moves that I have never seen at such a young age.
I play college ball at the Unversity of Pittsburgh, and I will tell you something, I could not move like that until I was around the age of 15 or 16. This kid is the real deal..

this kid is good but tons of kids are great at that age lets see how he does starting varsity as a freshman in highschool i mean the team was not even D1

Cody Paul is unreal. His O-line is unreal. The team is unreal. But if his coach Christopher Austin coaches anything like he spells he must be absolute dog shit. Hit the spell check once or twice before writing something next time will ya coach. You think he would be halfway intellegent with back to back titles. But really buddy read a book maybe.

The note at the top says that they were division 2 national champs, d2 compared to d1 is a big dif. I play d1 pop warner and this season we killed the div 2 3rd national team. so let'm come up to d 1 and then ill say hes amazing.not hatin he is obviously inncredibly tallented but hasn't completely proven himself (who gives a sht about spelling).

He is great but watch this name in highschool football next year Jarrett Havins white qb runs a 4.5 40 benchs 315 and throws the ball 73 yards w/o accuracy if he gets coaching he will be awesome he is only a sophmore

I admit cody Paul is very talented but I have seen much better. I live in CT and there is a BLACK running back named Christopher Jamal that lives in Norwalk that would rape this kid. He is bigger, faster, stronger, and he actually plays division 1 football. The only reason that you rprobably havnt heard this boys anme before is because he plays AYF football not Pop Warner.

he is soooooooooooooooooo COOOOOOOOOL

I am a freshman in highschool right now, in the same district as cody paul, and he is an 8th grader playing in the same division as 5th/6th graders clearly, and he is as athletic as any most 8th graders this is an advantage in experience, and athleticism, he is much more developed physically and mentally to be able to do these moves and predict the defense

also odds are if he is as good as he is at this point time its because hes hit puberty way b4 everyone else wen every1 catches up to him in 3 years he wont be so spetacular. s

sorry to bust ur dreams kid but about only 1 kid makes it to pros in an entire confrence

Cody Paul does have great blocking, but when he gets in space, he has the moves and speed to seperate from defenders. Thats what makes him great.

true cody paul is really good but one of my friends is way better at the same age... i saw terry grant play when he was 12 and cody isn't near as good plus cody is really small not many running backs make it 2 the pros when they are small

My son runs circles around Cody Paul. Unlike Cody not only does he have speed he also has POWER.

To "Supra",
I watched your kid. He is good but there is no power that you speak of. He has speed but there is no way that he's as fast as Cody. Just watch both films. The difference between the two is that Cody breaks ankles and Armon stiff-arms people. There's no power in stiff-arms.

Ok all of you aren't paying enough attention to the game! Yes, the coaching and blocking is both very good but it is still Cody making it happen. On the kickoffs he gets about 30 yds per, while making about half of the team look stupid. And on each run he makes about 3 or 4 kids miss. SO HE IS AS GOOD AS HE LOOKS, not the other players making him look good, they're just given some help.

your all stupid. your putting way to much pressure on the kid. thanks to all of this craz he will likely go absolutely nuts and hate football thanks to all of you. good job guys youve ruined football for a young kid. i hope your happy. let the kid play football and keep your fuck shit off the internet no one gives a shit what you think. let him enjoy his days as a football player it wont be forever...
