Cody Paul Is The TRUTH

I have seen the future. The future's name is Cody Paul. He might be the best football player you've never heard of. Actually, I'm sure he's the best player you've never heard of. The kid's got break away speed, shifty moves, and toughness you just can't teach. Just picture a white Reggie Bush...who's 8 years old. In all seriousness, the kid's already a silent commit at USC. And you wonder how Pete Carrol stays on top. I'm predicting a Heisman in 2017. (NSFW audio)

Already a soft verbal at SC? Pay them while they're young.

You know Pete Carrol's already taken the kid to Chuck E. Cheese:)

Anonymous said...

I'm pretty sure he lacks the break away speed to take him to the next level.

Anonymous said...

Find something better to do, this kid isnt commited to USC.....Its not like the competition hes playing is anygood, I mean 8 year olds?...for cryin out lopud gimme a break...this kid wont do jack shit.

Gangsta D said...

It's called humor. Maybe you should get a sense of it. OBVIOUSLY he's not committed to USC. OBVIOUSLY I have no idea if he's gonna win the Heisman in ten years. OBVIOUSLY some people can't take a joke.

8 year olds dude.

Hank said...

No way that kid is 8. If he is, then he is playing up a league or two. Those games/plays are too crisp for 8 year olds

What a badass.

Cody Paul does not sleep. He waits.

He's 13 years old and plays for Los Alamitos Griffins, who have gone to the Pop Warner Superbowl two seasons in a row. Anybody with minimal football brains can see the real talent here is the coaching. Look at the blocking schemes taught to the o-line, the receivers and especially #20. I'm not saying Cody isn't good, he is. But this entire team is packed with talent.

From the coaches mouth himself ----

"Cody is NOT 8 years old, he is 13 years old. The film fottage you’re watching is from our season last year (when he was 12years). They are of our first Regional game agaiinst Valencia Park (San Diego, CA); and our 2 Pop Warner Superbowl games vs Holliston Panthers (Red and white) and the San Marin Colts (Green and Yellow). We won all three of those games to go 15-0 and become the 2006 Pop Warner National Champions D-2 PEE WEE level (Warner Bracket).

The coaching he received and the players surrounding him were just as great. The prior 2 years, Cody played for another team, along with #20 that first year, and they amassed only 2 touchdowns in those years. The offensive line in front of him were outsized all year, and yet they were able to open up holes that a Mac-truck could go thru untouched. They were, and are, ALL awesome.

In closing please, know that Cody was a part of a GREAT team that did amazing things (last year was our second trip to Florida (back to Back) to coompete for the national Championship). All the players and their families made the coaching experience beyond phenominal. I am pleased, to know and have worked with them all. I do sincerely hope that this serves to clear up any misconceptions about Cody and the rest of 2006 Los Alamitos PEE WEE GRIFFINS!

SIncerely,

Christopher Austin"

wow I grew up in a small town in Pa. called Mckeesport where I watched Curtis Martin at this same age. 8 or 13 this kid has some nice skills. His team seems like a great team too but this kid can run the rock too. Only problem I have is the music selection and I'm a brotha who listens to rap. There is a time and a place for it and this isn't it. Keep up the hard work kids.

Anonymous said...

Ok, I can see this kid is real good, but like someone else said, the team is amazing. He'll most likely be really good till his third year in high school where the competition increases dramatically. And not to sound racist as I am white, there will most likely be an African-American who plays the same position that will be faster and stronger as seeing he plays in Cali. So he probably wont be a RB his entire football career. Not to say he wont be any good at another position.

And i understand that you are joking, im just giving my opinion on the kid

Unknown said...

That kid has got skills, he reminds me of Reggie Bush with those moves. With those helmets being so huge it looks like the big head cheat on blitz from back in the day!

Anonymous said...

cody paul is pretty real, but i have to say all the other players are pretty good to, hell there all only 8 years old
i sure didnt have a team that cooridnated when i played pee wee
bunch of rich kids.

cody paul is not 8 years old. he is 14 years old, but he's in 8th grade. i would know i'm his brother. if you don't believe me check his myspace http://www.myspace.com/cadilac24 and mine is http:/www.myspace.com/ball-above_all and look on my friends list on the 4 page i think. i don't know how this rumor got around that he's 8 but he's 14. just letting everyone kn

I can give credit where credit is due. Regardless of his age(which is debatable looking at the video), whoever this kid is , he obviously has great vision if nothing else. I have to agree with some of the above comments, He plays for a well coached team. Those blocking schemes look tight and they are well executed ! You cant say where he will be in the next couple of years. There is so much growth and adversity a player has to go through and remember, no matter how good your think someone is, there is always someone better!

Anonymous said...

Woulda liked to see them play Hunterdon Hills (NJ). They had a back of their own who was unreal - Derek Jenkins. Bigger, not the same cutback ability, just as fast. That team is 29-1 the last 2 years, as well (DII Tomlin Division Champions). Maybe next year!

Yes, Cody Paul has got the goods.

Great Waldini said...

who would think this post out of the many on here would generate so much discussion :-)

Squidly said...

The rest of his team may be greek gods, but he's a step above them all. Half the time he's forced to pull 2-3 Barry Sanders-like moves in the backfield just to get to the line of scrimmage - so I don't want to hear about how his blockers are the real reason he's succeeding.

Anonymous said...

I heard that the kid trained at Velocity Sports Performance...no wonder he is so ridiculous. Holla!

Anonymous said...

He is obviously a bad dude, but lets keep things in perspective. When I was thirteen the fastest kid in my school was a girl. A lot can happen between pee-wee superstardom and the heisman.

Anonymous said...

Keep things in perspective - I was a hell of an athlete too when I was a kid - Olympic bound in 88 and tore a groin muscle. Anything can happen - other kids can mature and catch up to his talent levels - a lot can happen between pee wee football and superstarism there (are we being real?) and the Heisman trophy.

Anonymous said...

Is Los Alimitos anywhere near the BALCO labs?

Anonymous said...

Yeah, those kids are all good and the kid can run but it's kinda sad that all I can think about when I watch that video is how far rap has fallen off. Hopefully Cody likes Biggie and Tupac.

Anonymous said...

This kid has surely got some talent, but we'll have to see what he can do in high school. I coach in a town just north of Atlanta, Ga. and weve gotta kid coming through our system named Richy Yarber, 13 years old that would run through, around , and over this Paul kid who has a lot of talent. Alan Barginski

Anonymous said...

All I have to say is f*ck all of you who dis my guy. I don't even know him, but i agree with the guy who said "I want his babies." I hope he DOES win the Heisman and DOES go to USC. Cody, whats your number, your my idle!

Anonymous said...

this kid is amazing,i couldnt takle him,he will win a heisman no doubt, kids awsome

Anonymous said...

im pretty sure about 100% of the poeple reading this werent doing the shit this kid can do at age 8 or even 10. he'll develop and go D-1 if he doesnt mess with drugs or the avon lake shoremen, watch out for sam brown this season, hes gonna he snapping tendons all over the field.

Anonymous said...

This kid is good for his age. There is a small chance this kid is going to be at USC. There is even a smaller chance of him playing RB, even in high school. Also there is know way in hell for this kid to be 8, the talent is too good for 8 yr olds, and i understand that he is 13. And i still find this movie clip enjoyable and fun to watch. I think that #20 is good as well.

Anonymous said...

you know your good when people talk about you. this kid has nothing to be ashamed of even if he is 14 that is still good

Anonymous said...

Ohio state fan here. we could have used him last fall!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

cody paul is not "the truth" yet, he still has to proove to everyone that he can make it through high school, but in california, hell no!

i think we should look at # 20 before him

Anonymous said...

All of the people saying he's going to suddenly be outclassed in high school or when he starts playing with black kids are crazy. He's already playing against the best since his team has made at far as it has. They can't catch him now, they won't suddenly start catching him three years from now either.

Anonymous said...

First off even at the age of 14, having an amazing all around team, and everything else, you cannot take away from this kids natural talent. He has 3 skills that i notice right off the bat...

1. Amazing cutback ability.

2. Vision like that of a punt/kick returner, he sees holes before they come open, if they arent, he cuts and bursts away.

3. His speed is definitely not slow...

This kid has talent, and anyone who thinks that in his 3rd year in High School it changes DRAMATICALLY, is fooling themselves, i played football straight through to college, and COLLEGE is where it gets intense. With the right people, his talent will be molded into something VERY inspiring and amazing.

Anonymous said...

Why the hell are some of ya hating on this kid? He's amazing. I bet none of you can say you've seen DeSean Jackson at 9 yrs old because he did this same shit at that age. He'd score 7 touchdowns in one half and then parents on opposing teams would complain.

Anonymous said...

He's pretty damn good, and kids who do well in Pop Warner usually do the same thing in high school. Here's a highlight film of an 11 year old kid who rushed for over 2,300 yards and 35 touchdowns as a senior in high school, and was all-state.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0MpwaYe8wU

Anonymous said...

just cuz this kid is good DOES NOT mean he will be good later, just cuz you do good in pop warner doesnt mean shit, people do progress and get better when they are older and this kid is pretty much done he may be good in middle school but in high school shut the fuck up only time will tell.

Anonymous said...

Cody looked real good, but it was Pop Warner with weight restriction a lot of the better players cant play becuase they are to big. They are forced to play PAL football once they get to 77th and 8th grade.

Anonymous said...

14 yrs old? Try 21. I know, because he's a user at www.schnozbot.com

Anonymous said...

Cody Paul is not 8 years old, nor is he 12 or 13. I saw the little guy posted outside of a local liquor store the other day and he bought me a 12 pack while he was slingin rocks on the corner. He may have had a fake ID, but hes old enough to atleast convince the store clerk that he was 21.

He's on steroids.

Posted above:

"And not to sound racist as I am white, there will most likely be an African-American who plays the same position that will be faster and stronger"

Good job keeping up with the political correctness that is ruining this country ("African American")....but just so you know...saying or writing the word "black" has not been outlawed or criminalized (yet)...Also, there are blacks (Jamaica, Cuba, etc)that are not from Africa so they cannot be categorized as being "African-Americans"...In your going overboard in trying to remain non-offensive, you totally eliminated entire groups of blacks because of your fear of being branded a racist.(Your fear reminds me of the McCarthyism (Communist witch hunt) that went on in the 1950's where everyone was afraid to be seen as a communist sympathizer so they went overboard with patriotism)...

Think about it.

Anonymous said...

If any of you know anything about sports, there is always that kid that runs circles around everyone in junior high (cody). Then doesn't grow and develop. Don't get me wrong he is good...really good, But if he doesnt grow and get bigger and faster come highschool ball he is just going to be an average guy.

Anonymous said...

This kid is good, and will be good...i dont know about usc good but if he stays out of trouble and stays healthy he will be a d1 athlete....and if you are good in pop warner your good in high school that simple, you dont lose abilities as you grow you gain them yes otherk ids will gain abilities too but he will keep growing...in my town theres a kid who was great his whole life popwarner on, even flag football before that and is still great today and is playing at The University Of Iowa this fall

No 9 year old has arms like that, he's obviously juiced.

Anonymous said...

As a former football player I think this kid is amazing. Stop trying to take that from him. He and his team good and very well coached. As someone previously said, look at his vision, feet/balance, aggressiveness/tenacity, speed and quickness to say the least. The kid has all of the tools to be a great football player. I wish him and his family the best. I hope he stays healthy so we can see him playing on the next levels.

To Cody: my man, you're going to always have haters. Don't sweat 'em. Keep your eyes on the prize and keep doing your thing my man. Always have fun playing the sport and the sky is the limit.

Anonymous said...

And for those that aren't familiar with film....this is sped up a bit.

Anonymous said...

This kid is a freak. I am a lacrosse coach and this kid is just a special athlete. You just don't see this in most kids. He'll play at a high level with good coaching and the kid will be golden.

Anonymous said...

i dont really understand what you guys are saying here. how do you know hes not gonna kick ass in highschool football?? what makes you think he's not gonna get any better? this kids got natural talent that can keep getting better as he gets older. It's not like he's done growing for good or something. Gaurantee you in a few years he'll still be amazing

Unknown said...

the fact of the matter is... Only time will tell. Yes i think he will be a major force in higher leagues to come, yes it is possible he will not be if his mind is not focused on progressively getting better. It is up to him and himself alone.
Its like what if he decides that he likes baseball more? No one can decide that for him. It is up to him and himself alone.

fck the wing t it doesnt work at the next level

Anonymous said...

This kid is amazing for his age. I mean cmon people! QUIT HATING! The kid can only get better and better as he gets older. College bound definetly!

Good luck Cody and hopefully you'll stay outta trouble and keep up this amazing natural talent of yours. KICK ASS!

Anonymous said...

Ummm, for all of you that say he will fall in high school b/c of size, speed, etc....what are you thinking I seem to remember the best rb in nfl history Barry Sanders not being that fast in fact he wasn't that much faster then a "fast" te BUT he had vision, determination, amazing cut back skills. Cody will be a kick az player throughout high school. The real challenge will be college but with his vision if he stays focus the sky's the limit.

Anonymous said...

Well I'll have to agree, Cody is good, but is better coached then the other teams. And plus, that offense can't be stopped. My High School team uses it and we score at least 2 rushing touchdowns a game. And our backs are strong fast and agile.

Anonymous said...

Before you give him the heisman, study the tape and watch #20, Mr. Tyler, who lead blocks on almost every single play from scrimmage. He carves some serious holes along with the rest of the line, lets talk about #20 playing fullback at USC one day.

Anonymous said...

since when do 8 yr olds throw the ball and kickof that far?

Anonymous said...

He is an amazing talent. I met the family and have seen him play. It is not too early to see talent. This kid has "it."

Anonymous said...

whoever said this kid wont do jack shit obviously has no clue about sports. name any other 8 year old in the country, rather a 12 or 13 year old who can do the things he does. yes it is early an ive always said its not how u start its how u finish.... but this kid is a stud.

Anonymous said...

All the people that are saying that he is not that good just dont know football. The kid is a Stud and the team might be good but you dont win champinships two years in a row unless you are great. The point is that if you shine on a team like that you are a stud, The kid is a stud, and unless your kid or you can pay balll like that you have no room to talk. Its dose not matter if he is white, there are plenty of great white athlete's dont turn this in to a black or white thing. the kid is just raw talent.

Anonymous said...

this kid is great, just look at his feet, he moves like reggie bush, he has speed, hes decent at breaking tackles, he has amazing agility, but i will agree with others, he team's blocking is great

Anonymous said...

Okay yeah maybe the whole team is amazing but i seen film on this kid and he was breaking tackles and shaking players without any blocks.. Give it up for the kid, he's good...Stop hatin.. Keep up the good work and do ya thang boy..

Anonymous said...

I played football for the majority (12 years) of my youth in Ohio. In that time I played against Mo Clarett (He was a head case then too), Mike Doss, and other Top D-1A athletes(mainly linemen as I was a center). This kid does have that potential I saw in those guys. If he's a hard worker I see only good in his future. It does help that he's got a good team this I'll admit. But making guys miss in the open field is a talent at any age. I hope he is a worker so that one day we can have this conversation in a recruiting forum.

ScienceAvenger said...

Wow, Cody is fun to watch, but you guys are forgetting what happens to kids as they go from middle school to high school and beyond. If they don't grow sufficiently large, they wash out.

I knew a kid like Cody growing up. His name was Clarence Grayson, he was 11, and ran all over our league. He had 300 yard rushing games as a matter of course. Didn't have Cody's moves, but was faster. Never heard of him? Yep, neither have I since then.

Same thing happened to my freshman team's star running backs. They were about 140 pounds, which was OK for freshmen, and they were blazing fast. Problem was, as seniors they were still 140 pounds, and were out of football. They became track stars.

Cody's got the moves, for sure. But he's tiny, and if that doesn't change, he won't be a football star on Fridays, much less Saturdays. Personally I hope he does make it, because I would love to watch that every weekend.

Cody Paul is real!!!!!!!
And yes he does play on an excellent team dat has overall great talent. But seeing as how he plays 4 Los Alamitos pop warner... He'll probBLY PLAY 4 Los Alamtios High School... who has always had an excellent football program. So he will probably be surrounded by great talent and have an outstanding O-Line in front of him at the high school level. And if he performs as well as he does now he'll probably go 2 one of the nations top colleges on a scholarship and have a grreat O-Line there as well....

Anonymous said...

he better grow - and fast - or he doesn't have a prayer in D1 college ball.

Anonymous said...

Man, some of you folks are just bitter. Just because your football career wound up going nowhere, you don't have to talk shit about this kid.
He's obviously got some talent, and I'd think mature adults would wish him well, not cut him off at the knees.
Obviously, no one can predict the future, but at least hold out a little hope that this kid will continue to to excel in this sport.
I would have thought other's would want to see what he can do at a college or even pro level a few years from now, but half of you just seem to want to talk about all the negative aspects.

You guys need to chill the fuck out, and enjoy a natural talent.

Assholes.

Way more impressed by Sam McGuffie's reel in terms of breakaway speed and raw moves. Some amazing leaps over defenders. Of course he won't be doing this as he moves up. Still he's in a way higher gear than anyone on the field.

This kid was specially bred for his skills in magic. He's also got skills in quarterstaff, throwing stars, and three proficiency points spent on football.

If he keeps at it and slays the red dragon he'll be a level 17 Paladin by the time he reaches high school.

Give this kid a holy avenger and it's all over.

Come on, everyone thinks they know or knew a kid in pop warner that was off the charts, but this is different. This kid has Barry moves, moves that great players don't even find until they get 17.

There are pylons in high schools too and he'll make them look like 12 year olds.

Unless he stops growing he's no doubt D1 talent at worst.

Anonymous said...

Common man are half you guys serious, the kid is just plain special.Im 18 now and im still doin the same things i did when i 8, 9,and 10 years old. When a guy is the man among his peer group when he's young he'll still be basically performing against the same guys as they all grow older. So stop hatin and just appreciate a special young talent, you cant coach or teach wat the kid has

Anonymous said...

i grew up in a town in TX and i watched preist holmes when he was 8. he had very nice, tight little buns and he looked fantastic in his football pants. cody is very much the same kind of running back. tight little buns. he is something special. special little tight buns.

cinna-buns style of running. sweet and salty.

most of his sucess comes from that offense they are running. the double wing. in 2004 and 2005 the team i played for won two wescon championships running the double wing

Okay If The Kid Is So Good And 13 Years Old,why is playing with younger kids in the pewee division of Pop Warner, which is for 9-11 year olds instead of playing middle school football

Anonymous said...

you guys are hilarious.....GO REDSKINS

Anonymous said...

Dude.. The kid is small.. He would probably get killed in high school football.. You can't just run like that and not get hurt in high school football.

Anonymous said...

He reminds me of a "stud" that I know who was fast and made the cutbacks just as Cody does. But the guy I'm talking about was so short, but quick, but he just got tore up in games. He injured his knee his sophomore year of high school, sat out his junior year and returned his senior year to injure it even worse. Just some perspective, the way this kid moves, his knees are gonna be jell-o when he matures!

Anonymous said...

Tjis kid is good but on my team i had a better player. His name is Anthony Caiazzo and he ran for over 3000 yards and 32 touchdowns and we were 1 game away from the same spot they were only we dont have as good as blocking. So remember the name cause he is bigger probly faster he runs a 4 7 forty time and has alot better move. he will be going to a D-1 school before this kid. This year he already has 25 touchdowns and 2000 yards in 6 games

Anonymous said...

not to take anything away cause this kid obviously has got skills. However, Andre Davis, a wide reciever who plays for the houston texans, is from my highschool in Niskayuna, New York (a small suburban town in the capital district) and he played at virginia tech with vick. He ran track and played soccer, and when he got cut from the soccer team as a junior in HS, he tried out football for the first time (our football team doesnt make cuts) and he was phenomenal. Basically i am just showing you that just because this kid is really good now doesnt really mean anything, what if he just stops growing? he obviously has a lot of talent and if he continues to progress he will be successful but im just showing that it doesnt matter how good you are when youre 13

Anonymous said...

who is this kid? how did anyone find out him?

Anonymous said...

cody paul is a joke, throughout pop warner years any fast running back playing against those kids could have put together a better video, and obviously he hasnt had a silent commit to USC because first of all people would have heard of this piece of shit and second of all you cant tell what a football player will turn out to be at age 8. P.S- he isnt 8 in this video

Anonymous said...

This kids does not have aids, he gives them to people anyway

Anonymous said...

you guys are killing me i am 17 and i started playing football when i was probably 7 or 8. and i'll give it to this kid he is really good but a lot of things can happen between now and the time he is a senior in high school. When i started playing yeah there were some kids playing that could run and gun and break anybodys ankles but that was then now when u get older kids become more intune with the game and can read tings better. I saw one game were this guy was playing awsome player even had a scholorship but he got hit once and got messed up and the docotors told him that he could never play again. So take that into perspective about what could happen

Anonymous said...

I bet he didn't have 4,500 rushing yards that I did last year

Anonymous said...

This kid is sick, but as someone else said he probably wont be a running back his whole career. in high school if not college he will probably move to a corner or receiver position. but regardless he looks like the real deal.

o and to those who question his competition, it was said earlier that this was in the pop warner super bowl and they are all the same age right???

Anonymous said...

Anyone who knows about popwarner or youthfootball knows that the Pee Wee division starts from 10 to 12 year old kids. That being said in San Diego youth football there are several kids here that would run circles around Cody Paul. And if you think Reggie Bush was something wait till you see some of the boys that will be coming out of this league. San Diego youth footbal has produced some pretty good running backs over the years. Reggie Bush, Terrell Davis,Ricky Williams,Marcus Allen just to name a few. As for Cody don't start believing all the hype your not as good as your parents think.

Anonymous said...

i cant believe this coach said its because of his blocking schemes that he is so good, cuts like this kid makes don't happen everyday

Anonymous said...

wow what the hell is wrong with the kid that said that shit about the african american and the communist witch hunts shit...get a life and for the kid who said about the tight buns...i have to agree i mean yum! but about this kid yea hes sick but young but why dont all of u just do something sick on ur own then come and critisize this kid...fukin losers

Anonymous said...

i look a this and say wow not only to the kid but the blocking that schemes are great for their age # 20 is a amazing lead blocker always picking up first hat but # 5 has great vision which is something you cant really teach a good burst of speed after jukes which well only get better later if he stays with it and lifts and only if he lifts hes shifty but to shifty which is good at hes level but when gets older and he goes up to better coached players he wont be able to dance as much but he has the feet and hips to stay above the competion his size can go both way he could get a growth spurt then again he could always be small but i doubt it

Anonymous said...

ok this kid is good but i dont no what all of you are talking about i can run that fast and im in 8th grade jest like him. but now the moves that crazy i hey cody if you read this dont hirt your self that would nothing but a nother booby miles story to tell

Anonymous said...

I can't believe some of the sceptics saying the things they've written. If you watched this video you know that Cody Paul is a phenomenal football player. Yes, the talent around him is great too, which makes him that much better. I'm he wasn't playing against a couple scrub football teams. His awareness, speed, agility, and toughness are enough to take him as far as he wants to go. He can only get better too, and that's the scarey thing. So for the people that say, "Oh, he's okay", "Black people will be faster than him", "It's because of the blocking", "He won't be this much better than opposition when he's a junior and senior." Ya'll can go shove it. DID YOU SEE THOSE RUNS!! No matter how old his is, if he can do that, LOOK OUT! I agree with the guy who posted the video. There should be a Heisman Champaign started tomorrow for this little guy.

Anonymous said...

There is a huge difference between an 8 year old and a 13 year old player. I'm sure he was an "older lighter" on his pop warner team. This term means little Cody was 13 and the rest of the players were 10-11 years old. I'm sure Cody will love to see his football career out in pop warner...they play till 16 years old I hear :)

Anonymous said...

yeah ok i don't think USC will be taking there time to look at some 8 year old kid. i not saying he doesn't have amazing moves but he isn't commited to USC

Cody paul is the best that ever lived...so far...i know the team's good but he'll be the only one to win a high school state championship,a bcs championship game, heismen trophy, and a super bowl...HES THE ONE...Im 15 and this kid inspires me...he's the best of the best...i watch his video every day just for insiration...im the true #1 fan!!!

Anonymous said...

yo, Cody is definately the truth! The only problem is he is 13 not 8. He is kinda of small for 13 don't you think. I heard that everyone has been asking for new videos of 2008, but the reason he's not putting them out is because he's not big enough to play high school ball and at 13-14 you are to old to play little league. I think the hype of him being 8 took a life of it's own, but he is still good, just too little. The best 8 year old I have seen is Cameron Burnette from North or South Carolina one. He ran for like 2,100 yds and 34 tds in 8 games. Not sure on the stats, but seeing his footage I am a beleiver. Dude is off the chain, and he is really 8, plus he is not little, about the same size as Cody Paul.

codys good, and hes 8, espn wouldnt put that in their magazine without making it official, blocking schemes are nice, but on kick returns like some of these are, there aint much of a blocking scheme, he has quick cuts and agillity, i havent seen an 8 year old like this and he plays like reggie bush, using his speed to get to the edges faster then everybody, then turn it up the field

Check him for performance enhancers. His dad is slippin him roids on the daily!!!!!

"You know Pete Carrol's already taken the kid to Chuck E. Cheese :)"

I'm gonna steal that line :P

i have a feeling that when college rolls around little Cody will be burned out on football

A dime a dozen in leagues across the country. If he is still playing when he is 16 then I will be impressed.

Anonymous said...

by the way Cody Paul is not 8 years of age stupid. he was actually 13 int eh videos, people only said that he was 8 just to hype him up. he even says that he is 13 in the video. he is now 14

dude youre hating on a 13 year old kid, first of all the game is won in the trenches and i do agree that offensive lines win games but when you have the footwork and pure speed that this kid has thats something that an offensive line cant give you...
sure it may give you gapping holes that will let you run but half the highlights in the video are of him on kickoff returns...you dont know anything about talent when you see it you just repeat the same stuff that the guys on espn say...the game is won in the trenches and defense wins championships...real original dude

this kid is good no doubt. he hasn't proven himself in the higher levels so lets just wait and see what happens. if he really is 14 he is good but another player you need to look at is Brandon Makar a 6ft 2in 13yr old QB who can throw the ball 70 yrds right now. runs the 40 in 4.65 and is 175lbs. i would have to say these two kids will be an impact on any team in high school and i hope they have success in their futures.

Anonymous said...

ok so this kid is 12 in these highlight reals right??? If hes 12 he should be in 7th or 8th grade right??? these were pee wee games his school must not have 7th or 8th grade football teams so he must be playing on pee wee teams as a 12 year old and everyone else is 10 or 11 so hes gonna look a lot better than anyone else obviously the team is good if they go to the nation championship or w/e but hes gonna be better than the 10 or 11 year old kids. i may be wrong about this but thats how it is where i come from. and get real people he isnt not a silent commit to USC. WOW

Anonymous said...

What the lil kid says "ya i wanna play for USC wen i grow up!"..and its considered a soft verbal? lmao..give me a break..i said i wanted to play football for Notre Dame growing up but instead im playin D3..haha..come on ppl

ok yes i agree with so many on this blog that the team is very skilled and the coaching is among the best i've seen in pee wee football as it's been proven by their back to back national championships. i coach little league football as well as being collegiate athlete. anybody who knows the game can see that this kid, regardless of having a great team around him, as superb vision and crisp moves ESPECIALLY for his age. one blogger referred to his breakaway speed as being poor...really?!? you can see that clearly for his age the kid is quick, fast, and smart. the kid has a lot of talent. the one thing to remember is the time that he has before to progress through before takes on talent at a more larger scale. young talent like this is great to see but there are years to come down the road where he needs to stay that much better than his current level which is way easier said than done. nonetheless for a 12 year old (at the time) he has a lot of skill and i only hope to see him carry forth with his progression into future years and see him one day making those big plays in high school and even college. good luck to cody paul and keep up the hard work.

Cody Paul Update ... Cody is currently a 5'3" 145 pound sophomore at Los Alamitos High School playing for Coach John Barnes. He saw time at tailback for the Junior Varsity team before being injured early in the season. He is behind an oustanding junior RB named Nick Richardson who is receiving D1 attention from several schools. Cody is expected to see playing time at slot back or corner as a senior.

you guys are killing me i am 17 and i started playing football when i was probably 7 or 8. and i'll give it to this kid he is really good but a lot of things can happen between now and the time he is a senior in high school. When i started playing yeah there were some kids playing that could run and gun and break anybodys ankles but that was then now when u get older kids become more intune with the game and can read tings better. I saw one game were this guy was playing awsome player even had a scholorship but he got hit once and got messed up and the docotors told him that he could never play againThanks for your post , it is very nice and helpful . all our products are top quality and low prices . would you like something ? ok follow me ! better choice better life !
