How do you spell WTF? B-C-S

Waldini:

I looked at the BCS matchups and forgive me if I'm not overly excited

Texas vs Ohio St - yawn
USC vs Penn St - more yawn
Virginia Tech vs Cinn - bigger yawn
Alabama vs Utah - why....
Oklahoma vs Florida - possibly good, depends if Harvin is healthy

I know the Rose bowl still has the Pac 10/Big 10 tie in for at least one more year. I'll be happy when that's over so I can see some more interesting matchups. Secretly I was kinda hoping Oregon St won the Pac 10, Boise St got a BCS invitation and Texas Tech replaced one of the teams in the non title games. Oh well

Gangsta D:

Why did tOSU get in over Texas Tech?

Waldini:

Dollars. Fiesta believes the tOSU fan base will bring more folks to the game than Texas Tech. Rubbish

Da Realist:

I like 3 of the major bowls -- fiesta, rose and the bcs championship bowl. (well, maybe i should say i'm ok with the matchups. i personally don't think oklahoma has a shot in hell of beating florida but one can still dream).

i don't want to ever see texas tech again. i know that's not fair, but i just don't care to see them. all the other schools whining and crying...i don't care. the bcs is about the big name schools and i'm ok with that. them's the rules. if texas tech wanted to be there so bad they shouldn't have lost by 40 to oklahoma.

"Fuck a fair one, i get mines the fast way"

Gangsta D:

Arizona's two states away from Texas?!? Now for some reason football fans in Texas aren't rabid enough to travel two states to see their team play? I used to support the BCS, but they really are annoying me:)

Da Realist:

texas vs osu is just a sexier matchup. it's not just about who shows up at the game, but who watches on tv. more people would watch texas slaughter ohio state than texas slaughter texas tech (because there is no way tt would beat texas again)

Gangsta D:

How can a slaughter be sexy? Lol

Da Realist:

Lol

Waldini:

How about Texas - Alabama in the Fiesta and Texas Tech - Utah in the Sugar?

Da Realist:

who is utah? when did they get a football team?

and besides...do you really think the sugar would let alabama go anywhere? for what? to host a game between the mormons and some dusty no-name team from texas? please.

Waldini:

I'm trying to do the right thang man ;-). tOSU has 2 losses. Texas Tech, Utah, & Boise are all ranked higher in the BCS standings and have better records. What's the point of playing if the best you can do is get to the Cotton Bowl or Idontgiveafuck bowl because the sponsors are worried about money. If that's the case then why is VT-UCinn even happening?? that's a definite ratings killer....

Da Realist:

it's not about fair or right. beyond the bcs championship game, the bcs doesn't hide it's intentions at all. it's all about popularity at that point. and again, i'm ok with that. and most fans are too if you look at viewership numbers. nobody watches texas tech except texas tech fans. look at how empty the acc championship was this past weekend. most fans talk a good game but the numbers really show what we want to watch. and most fans watch big name schools with history. alabama, texas, usc, ohio state, michigan and yes, notre dame among a few other schools.

utah who?

Gangsta D:

Yeah, but how do we know Utah won't become the next Miami? Miami has really on been relevant the last 28-30 years. They were Utah at one point. This is Utah's 2nd BCS game in 5 years. How do we know they won't turn into a traditional power? Answer that one, HAMMER?!? lol

Da Realist:

When they turn into Miami, then we'll watch. Good luck with that. Miami was able to capitalize on the perfect storm (excuse the pun) -- good...no GREAT weather, GREAT recruiting and a weak ass conference for years.

Utah has...mountains.

Gangsta D:

And people with freakishly large teeth...
